By the extended signaling protocols,routing protocols and new link management protocol,GMPLS satisfies the requests of intelligent optical networks control automatically and signaling,and so provides dynamic networks resources and improves survivability.Specifically,the first chapter introduces the meaning and the background of studying the network.The chapterΠfirstly introduces the basic principles of generalized multi-protocol label switching (GMPLS) and the architecture of the GMPLS plane.Analysis of the key technologies of the GMPLS,such as the signaling protocol,routing protocol,and so on.In the third part of the article,we introduced the basic principles of OBS network and the core/edge nodes.Then proposes the concept of GMPLS-based OBS network and discusses the key technologies of the network.Finally,set up the simulation system of GMPLS-based OBS network to analyze the characteristics of the data transmission and discuss the simulation results.On the whole,there are the following contributions in this paper:1.It proposed a GMPLS-based OBS network model for IP-over-WDM integration,and discussed its network architecture node function and comparisons of GMPLS-based OBS network advantage. 2.The simulation results proved GMPLS-based OBS network is superior to the OBS network.
